WHAT IS LONG DISTANCE BESTIE ISLAND?
Long Distance Bestie Island is a fully packaged 4-night trip to Fiji, bringing together long distance best friends from around the world in one place, at the same time.
You book as a pair. Both of you fly from your nearest departure port and meet in Nadi on 15 October. That night everyone stays at the Tanoa International Hotel. The next morning, the whole group boards the ferry to Beachcomber Island together.

What's included in the NZD$2,900 per person?
Return flights from your nearest departure port, 4 nights accommodation, all transfers, meals (Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner) and drinks (Beer, Wine, Spirits, Non Alch) from Day 2 onwards, and activities. Meals and drinks on arrival day (15 October) are at your own cost.
What are the departure ports?
New Zealand: Auckland and Christchurch.

All guests need to make their own way to their nearest departure port — flights from there are included in the package.

Is there an extra cost for Australian departures?
Yes — there is an additional NZD$300 per person for besties departing from Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane.
What's included in the daily food and drinks package on Beachcomber Island?
Your package includes all meals (breakfast, lunch & dinner) and a drinks package covering beer, wine, spirits and non-alcoholic beverages. Cocktails are not included but will be available for purchase. Food and drinks on arrival day (15 October) at the Tanoa International Hotel are at your own cost.
Do both besties pay NZD$2,900?
The package price is NZD$2,900 per person for guests departing from New Zealand ports. Guests departing from Australian ports (Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane) pay NZD$3,200 per person
My bestie lives outside of New Zealand or Australia — can they still come?
Absolutely — if your bestie can make their own way to one of our Australian departure ports (Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane) they're more than welcome to join from there. The Australian package price of NZD$3,200 per person would apply.
When and how do I pay?
A NZD$500 non-refundable per person deposit confirms your spot. You can then pay the remaining balance in full or via three fortnightly instalments of NZD$800 per person (NZD$900 for Australian departures) due on 10 August, 24 August and 7 September 2026. Let us know your preference when you register.
How many spots are available?
Spots are limited — register your interest early to avoid missing out.
What if there's more demand than spots available?
If we receive more registrations than we have spots for, we'll build a waitlist. Waitlisted pairs will be contacted immediately if a spot becomes available. Registering early gives you the best chance of securing your place.
My bestie and I see each other regularly — can we still come?
Long Distance Bestie Island is designed specifically for best friends who live apart and rarely get to see each other. The whole experience is built around that reunion moment — so this one's for the long distance besties.
What if my bestie can't make it?
Life happens. If either of you can no longer attend, please get in touch as soon as possible. Substitutions are subject to availability and approval, and any transfer or rebooking costs are at your own expense. Deposits are non-refundable. We'll do our best to work with you but can't guarantee a replacement spot can be arranged.
What do I need to sort myself?
Personal travel insurance, a valid passport with at least 6 months validity remaining, and getting yourself to your nearest departure port. That's it.
